subject: How to..."Remove aero zytec hubs" |
|
|
ok firstly, get yourself a
couple of spanners and an allen key.
this is how you
zytec mag should look before you start!
unscrew the spacer nut on one side of
the axle, until completey off.
undo all four allen bolts as pictured.
then the hub should be loose at this point.
pull the axle through the one side, until
completely removed.
both sides of metal casing should
be off by now,
and you will be left with a hub free wheel,
as pictured!
then you are just about ready to
bleach/dye your aero zytec mags! _________________

I have just used your step by
step guide and stripped down my zytec's. It was spot on, and
made it easy for even a novice like me! The wheels are now
sitting in a bucket of bleech, thanks for putting the guide on
the forum | |

Would these be the legendary
off white zytecs? O.k. you'll need...
28 bottles of
thin bleach 8 bottles of thick bleach a 10 oz' of
peroxide a couple nights in the dishwasher and some
thinking
eh David...?
Seriously though, let me know how you get on
as I'm interested in the outcome. btw don't listen to me. _________________

| yeah, it is the off white
zytecs. They are sitting in 10 litres of super strentgh trade
bleech. I will post some photos if you like once they have
been in there a few days. If they dont come out minty fresh I
may dye them yellow. | |

| I didnt have any batteries in
my camera to take any before shots. I had a look at the wheels
when I got home from work. They look a bit cleaner, but it may
take a while. I might take them out and give them a scrub and
put them back in. | |
