While removing the decals from my Mag20, I rustled up a how to guide.
Hopefully it's all in order.. [The pics should speak for themselves]

The steps below should enable you to remove your decals, and prepare them for scanning and restoring with your prefered graphics editing package, on your PC, and then printing.

You will need:
Hairdrier
Razorblade
Sheets of paper [A4] or two
Sellotape

- Heat frame/ sticker throroughly

- While still warm [glue still sticky] push razorblade under decal, and try to lift as much as possible.

- If decal in one piece, it should all peel off easily if the frame is still warm and the glue is still sticky. If does become harder to peel again, stop peeling and reheat again.

- If breakages/ splits occur – stop – and reheat. Use the razorblade to 'catch up' with the main bulk of the decal.

- Any holes or splits noticed beforehand can be patched up with the sellotape. This will help prevent further damage to the decal.

- Once the decal is off the bike, stick it to your sheet of paper. Any breakages can be pieced back together.

Hints:
- Don't try and be a hero. Rather than try to remove a large decal in one go, cut it into manageable sections.

- If your decals are thin and severely damaged, cover the entire decal in a layer of tape and, once heated, it should come off easily [and hopefully] in one piece.

Cheers Mr Mac!!!

I wont be recreating the mag20 splendour with this bike. But if they ARE going to be the 'new' Team Burner I want to have a set ready and waiting.
;-)

Patching these ones up with Photoshop is going to be a 'piece of' compared to the Ultra Burner ones. It's more or less 8 diamonds and a few words..

Peasy!!
:-D

On a slightly related note - got me a tin or 'Moors today!!
:-)
