N > Nottingham Second letter... month A - JAN B - FEB D - MAR E - APR G - MAY H - JUN K - JUL L - AUG M - SEP N - OCT P - NOV S - DEC 2,3,4,5,6 etc = the year 82, 83 and so on so NH44629 would mean - Made in Nottingham , June 1984 The remaining numbers of the serial number have believed to be the production numbers for that month, but due to ridiculously high numbers given this is said to be practically impossible to produce.
